Mary's Meals is built on one simple, powerful idea: provide a good meal to some of the world's poorest children in their place of education, so hunger no longer keeps them from learning. That idea now reaches more than three million children every school day, in over 6,400 schools across 16 countries in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean.
The meals are cooked and served by local volunteers using locally sourced food, which keeps the model astonishingly lean: at least 93 pence of every £1 donated goes directly to charitable activities, a commitment consistently met or exceeded. That record earned the 2023 Princess of Asturias Award for Concord, one of philanthropy's highest honours, and founder Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow a place in the Time 100 and among CNN's Top 10 Heroes.

Plastic Bank tackles two of the world's biggest problems at once: ocean plastic pollution and poverty. It builds recycling ecosystems in coastal communities where waste and hardship are greatest, letting people exchange collected plastic for income rather than leaving it to reach the sea.
Its communities have now stopped more than 200 million kilograms of plastic, the equivalent of over 10 billion bottles, from reaching the ocean, gathered by more than 68,000 collection members across 1,000 communities in Indonesia, the Philippines, Brazil, Egypt, Thailand and Cameroon. Collectors earn bonuses on top of the local market rate, with every transaction recorded in a blockchain-secured app, and the recovered material, Social Plastic, is reused by hundreds of global consumer brands. In 2024 EcoVadis awarded Plastic Bank a Gold sustainability rating, placing it in the top 5% of companies assessed.

Each of the three launch causes is an approved Gesture Partner with a signed agreement, checked and onboarded by us before it ever appears in a meeting invite. There is no open directory and no self-listing. A Partner that falls out of good standing comes off the list.
Where every dollar goes
Fifty cents of every $1 funds the Gesture your meeting guest chooses, routed straight to the verified Partner. The other fifty cents is reserved for the double: unregistered guests are offered a second Gesture to the very same cause. When a Gesture isn’t doubled, that fifty cents keeps the platform running.
